Senior Portrait Details
My senior portrait process is designed to create a very personalized shoot and unique senior pictures for high school seniors and parents who have a desire to create senior portraits that are unique, artistic, that showcase your personality and celebrate what makes you special. Creating Amazing images, is the result of getting to know you and carefully planning the details so we can decide on the right locations that are best for you, with the right clothing and accessories to achieve your desired look, at the best times. In doing so, it is important that I get to know you and use our combined creativity to craft and execute a plan that will lead to captivating, inspired senior portraits tailored specifically for you
THE CONSULTATION (PLANNING SESSION)
Before your shoot I chat with you and at least one of your parents to get to know you and plan your photo shoot. During your consultation we explore your ideas, interests, activities, and other things that make you special and work with you to translate them into an actionable plan to create the images you will love, and showcase who you are! We’ll cover everything from locations, clothing, and any special concerns or requests and props that will be used. After we’re done, we will send you a copy of the plan to review and help you prepare for your photo shoot. The plan helps everyone involved stay on the same page and know what to expect.
YOUR PHOTO SHOOT
Most of our senior shoots are 2-3 hours. With exciting new equipment I can now shoot in midday sun and get stunning glamour style lighting poses. We carefully plan your shoot to make the best use of both off camera lighting, natural light and locations, and try to minimize travel and keep you in front of the camera as much as possible. Most clients choose to have their photo shoots entirely on location. If a studio shot is desired, I must check availability with the studio I use. This is something that needs to be addressed in the consultation. I try very hard to make your photo shoot unique, particularly with regard to your classmates that come to me, so I do my best to avoid photographing you at the same location as your classmates and if we do, we try to use the location differently.
CLOTHING
We have a few general rules for clothing: Wear what you love! Bring extra outfits! Accessorize as much as you are comfortable! Dress for the Weather (ever try to look pretty while you were shivering?). The rest really depends on the location and look we are trying to achieve. We spend a lot of time talking about clothing in your consultation and if we have strong opinions about what to wear and what to avoid, we’ll discuss our recommendations and include them in your photo shoot plan. We don’t put limits on outfit changes because every senior and every situation is different. A jacket, hat or scarf can change up the look very quickly!
LOCATIONS
I prefer to go the extra mile and photograph you at locations that are special to you so your pictures have more meaning (e.g. your home, places where you have grown up or spend a lot of time, places you have always admired for their beauty). I have my own favorite locations as well so I can make recommendations to suit what you are looking for and in close proximity to keep travel between locations to a minimum. While I am primarily a location photographers, I do have a state-of-the-art studio that I use when needed. I must know ahead of time to book the time in the studio.
CHOOSING AND ORDERING
A week or two after your photo shoot I meet with you again to show you your pictures, help you pick your favorites and place your order. We present you with 25-30 or so images, along with my suggestions, and help you to quickly edit down to a manageable number for the products you are interested in. I provide a consultative approach to help you select the best products, sizes and options to suit your needs and get the best value for your money. Payment for your order is due in full at the time it is placed. Short term payment plans are also available. Ordering appointments are typically conducted in your home however, when this is impractical do to long distances, we can conduct the appointment via a web meeting where we can walk you through your pictures from the comfort of your own computer and help you place your order as though you were at our studio. Gotta love computers!
Online Images
Most clients preview their images and place their order during their ordering appointment without need of on line image proofs. If you wish to preview your images ahead of your appointment, we are glad to publish them to our preview website a few days before we meet. If you choose to have us publish your previews we ask for a publishing fee ($75) If you pay for an online gallery they will also be available for other family members to view and purchase after your initial ordering apt.
PICKUP AND DELIVERY
Print orders are usually completed in 2-3 weeks. Orders including albums or sports composites can take 4-5 weeks. I love to deliver your products in person. This exchange needs to be in person, I will not run the risk of damage to your products by leaving them by your door. sorry… If products need to be shipped for out of the area customers, I will do so via U.P.S.
HAIR AND MAKEUP
Professional Makeup is strongly suggested for all young women. Most professional salons charge $25-40 which is a small investment to make for pictures that you will have forever. I have experienced a number of disasters with clients going to makeup counters in department stores before their photo shoots soI discourage you from even thinking about it. It’s just not worth taking the chance on such important portraits. Make sure your makeup person knows your makeup is for a photo shoot. As for your hair, it should look very similar to how you wear your hair on a daily basis. Unless that’s a pony tail. lol. Feel free to bring clips to give a different look.
COST AND SCHEDULING
The most popular session is the 2 hr. session. This fee goes towards our time to plan your photo shoot, photograph you and edit and prepare your preview images. The fee is not applied towards the purchase of any products. Payment for your photo shoot is due when we put you on our schedule. If for any reason you need to change a scheduled session, we require 72 hours notice, otherwise you forfeit your session fee. If we are able to fill your slot with another client within the 72 hour period, then we will be glad to credit your fee towards your rescheduled session.

AVAILABILITY AND WAITING LIST
I typically schedule only one photo shoot per day and will only shoot up to 10 Seniors a month, because of the time and attention I dedicate to each of my shoots. Im usually booked 1-2 months in advance. Clients who prefer to have a photo shoot earlier than they were able to schedule can request to be added to our waiting list for an earlier appointment.
PRINTS, PRODUCTS and PACKAGES
Im a full service studio offering photographic prints, wall decor, coffee table books, announcements and invitations, and soon framing, and one-of-a-kind art prints. Descriptions of our most popular products are available on our website by visiting Most clients purchase a wall-sized print, several gift-sized prints, wallets and a framed collage and/or coffee table book with their favorite images. These products are available through my packaging offerings which are designed to save you money, or they may also be purchased a-la-carte, but are considerably higher priced.

FAQ
What happens of it rains?
We reschedule your appointment for our next mutually available opening. If that opening is later than you would like it to be, I will put you at the top of our waiting list so you can take advantage of possible earlier openings.
Do you travel outside of the Inland Empire?
I do travel outside of the Inland Empire for senior portrait shoots. My clients come from all over and I sometimes travel to photograph them on their home turf. I like to go the extra mile to photograph my seniors in locations that are special to them. Either way works for me. Depending on the situation, I sometimes ask for a small travel fee to cover travel expenses or ask for an advance on your album order when you book your session.
Do you offer images on disk?
Package B comes with 2 digital negative of your choice, Package A comes with 5 digital negatives. If you are interested in the entire collection of artistic edited proofs, they can be purchased for 950.00
